Quarantine Cooking - Week 2 - Harissa

Let's make some Harissa. Harissa is a North African chili pepper paste. It's super versatile and easy to make. It adds a ton of flavor to all of your favorite dishes. I don't make mine too hot because I like to add it to several meals. Here's my recipe for Harissa and 7 ways to use it this week to elevate your meals.

Last week (Week One of Quarantine Cooking) I showed how to take French Bread and make croutons for the entire week to elevate your meals. This week (Week Two of Quarantine Cooking) we are going to make Harissa. Here's the recipe!

Day 1 - Mesquite Lime Chicken Tacos with Creamy Harissa

Add Harissa to sour cream for the Creamy Harissa Sauce

Day 2 - Cheesy Enchiladas

Add some Harissa to the enchilada sauce

Day 3 - Harissa Compound Butter

Add Harissa to softened butter

Day 4 - Steelhead Trout in Parchment

Add Harissa to Steelhead Trout and Potatoes in Parchment

Day 5 - Meatloaf

Add Harissa to the glaze on the meatloaf

Day 6 - Tomato Soup

Add Harissa to Tomato Basil Soup

Day 7 - Eggplant Parmesan

Add Harissa to Eggplant Parmesan Sauce (instead of the Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Pesto)
